There is a guy in my school that I like and his name is John. He called me ugly twice but after that he stopped.He always finds some excuse to mess with me, even if its stupid or not. For example, on Friday he asked me where I was from and on thursday he was joking around with one of his friends and he said that I took his friend's jacket (as a joke). Whenever I see him, hes usually looking at me and smiling and talking to his friends at the same time. Yesterday he was across the street from me and he was staring at me pratically.Does he like me? If he does, then how do I tell him that I like him too, because if he doesn't, I don't want his friends to make fun of me for the rest of the year.

Michelle - I'd say he has his first big enormous crush on you. He is teasing and making these comments because he gets tongue tied and shy around you because you make his heart go pitter patter like nothing he has ever felt before. The best thing is to treat him the same back. Rag on him like he rags on you and when he backtalks tell him he is cute. When you see him looking from across the street blow a small discreet kiss then put the back of your hand to your forehead and swoon (fake Faint) and then pat your heart. Like you are getting his point, he will get yours. Then go sit with him at lunch. Just walk up and nudge him over and sit right down and smile at him and say hi.

Making fun of girls is like a guys specialty. It's like their type of flirting without anyone knowing, even though everyone knows, if that makes sense.
The best way, I think, is to slip him a note. When a friend asks, it's way too uncomfortable the next time you see each other, especially if he says no. Telling him face to face can be mortifying too.
A note is simple, and can be cute! Plus, theres a bigger amount of comfort around each other., he might slip you a note back saying yes or no, and then its fine and you dont have to deal with it.

I think he likes you...even though he called you ugly. He was just teasing with you, he meant the other way around. He wants to tell you that you are beautiful but he tells you that you are ugly. Try and talk to him when you have a chance. Good luck!!

He likes u. A lot of guys are afraid that if they act like they like u then ull know so they do the opposite. They tease and they make faces so YOU have to make the first move. If his friends make fun of you then stick up for urself and tell them straight up to back off. -Good Luck!

well first what u think of urself ru popular among guys? do others find u beautiful? if yes then this guy likes u but he is suppressing his feeling for u by making fun of u with his friends he might be doing this unknowingly!!! its better to ask him sraight forward why he makes fun of u? i know its hard but u have to find the reason..unless and until people talk to each other its very hard to judge them so my suggestion is go and confront him.

That happened to me to he was so mean to me then some days he would be so nice. I wouldn't let him know if he really likes you he needs to stop playing these dumb games with you. Or to get his attention is to ignore him act like hes not even there when he does stuff to you and dont look his way.

Well, I'm just glad I'm not in high school/junior high school anymore. In the real world, if a guy calls you ugly, you tell him to pound pavement. In high school world, he might in fact like you.
Try talking to him, like real talking, about things you like, etc. If he seems interested in hearing about it, he probably likes you.
And *gasp* maybe just say, hey I like you, how do you feel about me? But, I know in high school world thats unlikely.

He doesn't like you...he's an abusive perpetrator and you're his victim. When someone likes you...you treat them nicely. In a way that is respectful. I would report him if he continues with this behavior. He's calling you names, and for you to find this attractive says alot about your self-esteem. Like the guys that are good to you...not abusive.
