Give the Laser Class Association a call and they will tell you the exact age of your boat if you give them your boats number. I had Laser 134627 and that was new in June 1988. Lasers 136000 to 136150 were built in July '88 for the World Champs and were the Timex versions.

Ask on the anarchysailing.com dinghy anarchy section. If you've got Laser #12 or #13 that's cool!

this is as much as you. maximum wood boats which you notice are thoroughly painted because of the fact, who ever, desperate that paint regarded better than the bare timber that the boat grew to become into built with. in case you will go away the boat outdoors, then a solid marine paint will regularly delay better to the sunlight than varnish will. To me, a varnished hull is proper and all you're able to decide to do is shop the boat indoors or a minimum of coated.
