Want some interesting ideas- not the usual playgroup stuff. Fed up with singing songs and playing with playdough. Many thanks

Its really useful to have a talk on resusitation when you have small children and also basic first aid. The local health visitors or St Johns ambulance should be able to arrange it. The children can get involved with the bandages and things.

Making a seasonal collage is good fun as the children can look for twigs and leaves etc

making hats is normally a good one too and if you are having a Xmas party make place names (helps with letters) and decorations.

have a good time

Get a large cardboard box (crate style) from your local grocers. Lots of tissue paper different colours, a pot of glue. Get kids to tear the paper into pieces and crumple them up then stick them all over the box ( autumn colours for autumn collage, sea colours for under the sea and so on. If autumn then get them to collect leaves and twigs and stick them to box too. If sea then shells and drift wood. On another table cut out fish shapes and get kids/adults to paint them with fingers mixing colours to make great patterns. once fish dry suspend them inside box using string and voila under the sea with swimming fish. The kids and adults love this task and it is good for the wall or table too!

hi, the talks could be about problems they are facing with their toddlers at the moment....problems the toddlers are creating for their relationship with their partners and how they feel they have changed since giving birth and are they for the good or bad and how to make them feel better about them selves.....activities could be picnics in a park or field where the toddlers will be safe running around with a ball ect or taking them to the thearter to watch tweenies or cinderella on ice....hope these ideas help

you should do a childcare-course there are many to suit everyone, from workshop-degree level
i am weary of unqualified people setting up groups, many people think "its so easy"
guess why i had to study for years to get my various qualifications?it gives you ideas and it prompts your own,
it is very interesting work-yet poorly paid..enjoy!
