To increase revenue by increasing traffic to those websites.
These websites may be owned by these people or they may receive revenue when people click through to the website from their link.
Computer programs can also be used to post these messages at forums etc.
The more exposure these websites get -
The more customers they generally get.
Solution:
Yahoo Answers should track these abusers through their IP addresses & report them to their ISPs.

I think they are their own sites and they are promoting acts of prostitution, they are looking for clients. Sad but true. God bless
