One of the best ways to take care of a fever is to take one of either Motrin/ Advil (Ibuprofen) or Tylenol, all of which will help in ridding the aches as well. However, Tylenol will usually also help with the nausea as well where the ibuprofen might not.
As for non-medicinal remedies; lots of sleep and making sure you are not depriving yourself of food and fluids, both of which are necessary to speed yourself on your way to recovery. Get well!

I always use two ibuprophin to get rid of the fever, and take a hot bath, then wrap up in a blanket to stay warm and take a nap.

lots of bed rest, for an upset stomach i take pepto bismo, for aches take bufferin, and homade chicken soup
