One thing I will add here to what others have said is.... if you are in the habit of crossing your legs .... stop.
I was doing that and because of it started pain and numbness in my lower leg - more on the left than right because thats the one I use to cross out of habit the most. What happens is that you can end up compressing the nerve bundle that goes just along side the outside of your lower leg just up near the knee (you know where we get that red spot from crossing sometimes). If this happens often enough the nerves become damaged.
Mine did and I lost all feeling and control of my leg from my knee down.
At the time all the doctors and specialist thought it was something in my back (pinched nerve etc) - they did x-rays, MRI's, nerve tests - everything and it came down to me crossing my legs. I was put in a brace just so I could walk and try to maintain my balance and with time and determination my nerves regenerated themselves.
So fair warning to all - if you cross your legs - my advise and my doctors advise, neurologist advise - stop!

All I know for sure, is that when "I" had that same numbness, it was a couple of pinched nerves in my back. My husband bought a conversion table, but I still went to the chiropractor, and he popped my back into place. Yes the numbness has gone away, but every once in awhile, I still go to visit the chiro. I also ask my husband to massege my back & feet. What ever the problem is, good luck, and I wouldn't ignore it, it could be something that has "nothing" to do with your back, okay?

Could be something going on in your low back that is causing pain and numbness in your lower legs. Check it out with your MD. There is help out there. I have suffered a long time with this kind of thing.

Pain and numbness in your legs could be any number of things, restless leg syndrome, diabetes, neuropathy. If they feel like little bug bites or needles and pins it could be diabetes or neuropathy or both, if it's just a sensation it could be restlessleg. You could also have a blood clot in your lower extremeties that could hurt you if it moves. Do not fool around, go see your doctor.

Take a dietary supplement. I had numbness & pain for 6 months which was nutrition-related. You can write me at jade_flowershop@yahoo.com for details.
