In 1773, the American colonists threw English tea in to Boston harbour, because they were to tightfisted to pay tax.

Should the colonists apologise to the British, and offer suitable compensation for this despicable act? And if they don't, should Britain impose sanctions on the United States of America?

Actually, the British government did not own the tea in question. The owner was Francis Rotch, a private citizen.

Sorry Francis, old bean, for tossing your tea into the harbor like that. But if it was so important, you could have unloaded it yourself before things got out of hand.

sure. a bathtub of hotdogs ensures prosperity for the newlyweds. Condiments are in no way used in the hotdog bathe because of the fact it would desire to stain the brides dress. the better area of this custom is that the couple can eat the weiners as a polished little snack on the thank you to the honeymoon trip spot.. You loopy! What a exciting question!

Tea! elephants don't eat tea. if it's not good enough for the elephant, then the bay of boston is a good place for it,
anyway Britain doesn't produce tea it imports it from china india,so really if you want to raise the issue of tax &the wastefullness of the pilgrim fathers you should take it up with the producing countries :-)

I think you will find the Boston Tea Party folk were rebelling because of the REMOVAL of tax, as it threatened their smuggling trade.

US propoganda has hidden this fact over the centuries.

The sanctions would be useless since we are a nation of coffee drinkers. Nice try though...

I think all the hard feelings should be gone now. The leaders of the US and UK seem to be good friends. Dont you think we should be focusing on the problems before us today.
