Natural Cholesterol Guide?

You do not say whether it is rheumatoid or osteoarthritis. There is a difference. Rheumatoid is autoimmune, and osteo comes with aging.

For both conditions you want your weight to be within the normal range. If you don't know what that is, ask your doctor.

Personally, I would stop eating animals altogether. Why put cholesterol from animals in your body? You might have to do some experimenting with various soy and bean products to find what you like. Tofu, tempeh, seitan, soy crumbles, etc are all wonderful. Make it an adventure to learn to prepare them.

Drink skim milk. Use non-fat creamers. Avoid powdered creamers. Read labels. Avoid transfats and hydrogenated fats. Stick to monosaturated oils like olive oil. Those are the best.

Eat oatmeal and oat products.

Avoid refined foods. The closer the food is to its natural state the better it is for you.

Get your omega fatty acids from oily fish like salmon and also from nuts.

Make sure you are getting exercise. You should work hard enough to be able to speak without being out of breath, but hard enough to sweat.

A good candidate to see a doctor and maybe get a prescription for Lipitor for the cholesterol and to get a diet of foods to avoid. Aspirin is good for arthritis, if you are not allergic to them. Good luck. ;-)

Try making sure that you integrate whole grains into your breakfast. Simple cold cereals are even whole grain now! Also, I've found that oatmeal is a good route too. Wal-Mart makes a 100cal sugarfree version of Maple and brown sugar oatmeal. YUMMMM
