Does anybody use the Vonnage phone service? Does it work well? Are you satisfied with their service? Anything I should be on the look out for if I decide to sign up?

ppl hate it or love it! I have Broadband (VoIP) for over a year now....and I love it! all my friends and family have it...and we all help each other to set it up! the problems usually come from the ISP site...Comcast is bad about letting other providers in...they don't open the ports...just try it.....you got 30 days to return it! I just plugged the phone in....activate...and make my 1st call...took 7 minutes...to do!!
I don't wanna tell which provider I got...1 had 2 violations already for advertising....I do have E911 my town is on the list!

Same thing Im always saying, and still havent heard an answer for.

What happens when you loose power or internet connection.
You have no phone, unless you have a UPS (universal power supply) to provide power to everything.

You do not have a traditional 911 service.

VOIP isnt ready for residential service, possibly large businesses, but not residetial.

Stick with a pots line.
If you go VOIP all your doin is tradin one set of problem for another.

I have Sunrocket phone service, which is like Vonage only cheaper. I have had the service for almost a year with no real problems. Every now and then the phone will get fuzzy (like a cell phone), but it doesn't last. For the money you save it is well worth it.
