for the first time in my life, im lettin my hair grow out, but have really no clue as to how to maintain it. i use a pick, a comb, & a brush, but my hair still looks mangy. i always have those tiny random long hairs pokin out and it makes me feel foolish.
any tips & good advice are appreciated. please no dumb@$$ answers

I am guessing that you are in the in between stages.When my son first done this, a doo rag was his favorite thing. Start using pink oil moisturizer wash you hair in the shower daily. It is going to take out the build up then grease it up. Comb it brush it and put a doo rag on your head at night. Comb it out in the morning. Comb your hair against the grain and brush it with the grain. You can have got to comb it alot. You can also use a blow out kit and get the ends cut down. Just a little to neaten it up.

Because you have never had your hair long before, you now have to train it. After you wash it (maybe every other day), use a leave in conditioner. Make sure you use a daily moisturizer on your hair. Don't use a pick, that makes it frizz out. Use a brush or just pick through it with your fingers depending on your hair texture. If your hair is really frizzy, try a curl activator moisturizer and use just a little right out of the shower.

Baby, you should really have just a clean cut, nothin sexier than a man thats chocolate with a clean cut look. But, if you really want the long hair look must men start the twists dreads or the corn rows are nice. You would really be sexier with a nice clean cut.

Go and get your hair trimmed and edge at the barber shop. Then use a plastic natural pic and a buy a comb out spray.

well when u say grow out.how long do u mean? is it braidable?? or is it just a blow out?? if its braidable u have to braid it on a regular basis..and make sure u go to tha barber and shape up ur edges.if its a blow out that u have u have to go get a shaoe up hair cut or whatever every weekend to keep it looking decent...

Well, you shouldn't feel foolish of yourself because of your hair, it's just some kind of fancy fashion state, and also, everyone should fell that once in a while. Try using garnier frutis to keep your hair normal.

figure out the order your hair likes best.
