Been together 4 years. We have a son together. Doesn't try to understant me. Doesn't care that what he does hurts me. He doesn't think he is doing anything wrong.

sounds like the two of you have grown apart. to keep a relationship strong, you have to spend time together and he needs to spend time with his son as well. I'm sorry for your situation but if this continues, maybe you need to move on and find someone who will put you and your son's feelings first. love is putting the other person first.

Perhaps he feels trapped by the fact that he shares this child with you. It's not necessarily a rule of thumb that just because 2 people have a child they have to have a relationship. In fact the child will be better off if the parents are in relationships that work for them with no obligation.

maybe he's afraid that he'll lose his friends if he gets "caught up" (no offense with that term) with fam. i know people get like that sometimes, just because they want to keep friends, not caring what it does to their loved ones, i know how u feel. my ex always said that, because men "come and go" but friends are always there. not too smart to live by. but i hope everything really works out for you. good luck.
