It depends on the circumstances. At my grandfather's funeral--whom I loved like a father--there were some funny stories told about him during the service. Everyone laughed, sometimes loudly. We were remembering him the way he was when he was alive--funny, sneaky, tricky...it wasn't disrespectful to laugh, I don't think. Of course, there was far more crying done than laughing, but I think if he were still alive his favorite parts would have been us laughing at some silly story about him.

laugh for no reason, NO! But I know i did chuckle a bit at my daddy's funeral. He was loved by man and would always be doing something funny, so when people would talk about the funny things he would do i did laugh, but I guess that's normal!!

I don't think Boisterously, but I do know thatsometimes when a speaker might remember something funny that the deceased and himself
may have done. That would be acceptable.

Yes, but it would have to be something real funny to make me laugh at a dead guy's funeral.

Two of my adult sisters got "the giggles" at a funernal once. Our grandmother wanted them to go with her to her best friend's funeral. Her friend had the same first name as Grandma. The minister kept saying our grandmother's full name when referring to the deceased. My sisters couldn't stop giggling and Grandma ended up sitting between them to shut them up! Actually the whole church thought it was humorous. The lady who died would have gotten a chuckle out of it too.

for many people laughter is a coping mechanism in a way...and it often happens at inappropriate times (like a funeral)....
but it sounds like you're just asking if some-one would laugh just for the sake of rudeness...in my experience i've never seen anyone do that

Not during the funeral, but after-wards at the gathering when you are sharing your good memories of the deceased.

My grandfather died last Friday, and the only time I laughed was when I heard of him doing those funny things in his past. I would never laugh out loud.....the family would seriously talk about you.

i luv you and you luv me
