I know nothing about the Muslim religion so I would not venture to guess why they don't eat pork. I do know as a Christian that God gave the restriction on pork to the Jews for a good reason. The pig is an unclean animal. They say it is hard to cook out parasites even at 500 degrees. There was also a restriction on things like shrimp and crab. These dietary laws were not given to the nation of Israel for no reason at all. God had good reasons. Shell fish are like the roaches of the sea. Their purpose was to absorb all the toxins in the water so that the other fish would have clean water to swim in. To ingest these would make one susceptible to a host of maladies. God knew what He was doing and there is always something to be learned from what God has to say. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. During the Black Plague the Jews did not suffer the same fate as the gentiles because they were still following the dietary and sanitary law codes given them by God. God is the maker of our bodies and would know what is best to feed our bodies. I am not saying that eating pork is a sin because NT scripture says it is not.I just think it is very unhealthy. I personally would not eat anything(pigs) that Jesus drove demons into! I am a Christian and do not condemn anyone who does because Jesus said,"Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man." He was saying this to the Pharisees who put more emphasis on the legalistic aspects of the Law Code. We Christians seem to forget that Jesus himself was a traditional Jewish rabbi and observed the Jewish dietary laws which would include not eating pork. I would say there is a lot to be learned from the Jewish community and the Old Testament.Christians, take another look before you put down and make light of God's Law Code to the Jews. There is much to be learned that will benifit us all. There was a reason that the Jewish people were the healthiest group in the ancient world. Could it be the dietary and sanitary laws of the Mosiac Law? I would venture to say yes! God knows best!

That is a ridiculous question. Haven't you ever heard of freedom of religion? That is why jews and muslims do not eat bacon and hindus do not eat beef. They choose to follow what they believe in, and it is very dumb of you to think so dimly. And when you say "the good christians" it seems as though you are racists against any religion other than chritianity.

you at the instant are not certain to stay with any customs/traditions which you do not experience are useful. senseless rituals at the instant are not what Hinduism is approximately, even even with the undeniable fact that the prevalent public of Hindus (and for that matter, individuals of different religions too) take this to be what faith is approximately, through fact maximum human beings do not likely think of heavily approximately concerns of actuality or spirituality, extremely being content fabric with exterior reflects of religiosity. the significant factor is to be open to certainty. The Hindu rituals all have a symbolic meaning that illuminates some ingredient of the classic actuality, yet you at the instant are not certain to those varieties and rituals; that's the reality in the back of them that concerns. even with the undeniable fact that, in regard to the beef factor, that is not merely an arbitrary restrict. in case you do not already consume beef, why might you initiate? Why needlessly kill animals and harm our environment? i don't evaluate the question of whether or to not consume meat to be one with the two ethical solutions. there is obviously one selection that ends up in much less harm for all in touch.

Good Christians don't eat other people, so they don't eat everything by a long shot.
Some Jews and Muslims eat bacon, depends on the Jew or Muslim.
Many Christians don't eat bacon. Some are vegitarians.

If they do not have revelation of the truth, let them alone and respect thier beliefs. Why force them to your way of thinking?
If you have the truth rather pray for them and show by your good example the superioity of the truth.
A "good" (whatever that means) Christian might rather follow the spirit of Paul - If meat make my brother to offend I will eat no flesh while the world stands lest I malke my brother to offend,(1Corinthians 8/13).
Jews and Muslims and ALL should rather eat God's words. Surely you know the very famous quote, Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God,(Matthew 4/4).

Not unless they want to!
What kind of question is this?
You will get a lot of flack for this. People will think that you are just an insensitive Christian.
I am a Christian. I don't eat meat. What about it? Eating habits are defining feature of many religions. Just let people be!
And I don't think that there are "good" or "bad" Christians, by the way.

'good christians' don't eat everything. for the full list i suggest people read leviticus, chapter 11. as well as saying not to eat pig, other creatures such as the rabbit and hare are mentioned. as with all things it is a matter of choice and what you believe. people's decisions should be respected.

The fact that consumption of pork is prohibited in Islam is well known. The following points explain various aspects of this prohibition:
1. Pork prohibited in Qur’an
The Qur’an prohibits the consumption of pork in no less than 4 different places. It is prohibited in 2:173, 5:3, 6:145 and 16:115.
"Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah." [Al-Qur’an 5:3]
The above verses of the Holy Qur’an are sufficient to satisfy a Muslim as to why pork is forbidden.
2. Pork prohibited in the Bible
The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus
"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you".
"Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you."
[Leviticus 11:7-8]
Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy
"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass."
[Deuteronomy 14:8]
A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.
3. Consumption of pork causes several diseases
The other non-Muslims and atheists will agree only if convinced through reason, logic and science. Eating of pork can cause no less than seventy different types of diseases. A person can have various helminthes like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, etc. One of the most dangerous is Taenia Solium, which is in lay man’s terminology called tapeworm. It harbours in the intestine and is very long. Its ova i.e. eggs, enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of the body. If it enters the brain it can cause memory loss. If it enters the heart it can cause heart attack, if it enters the eye it can cause blindness, if it enters the liver it can cause liver damage. It can damage almost all the organs of the body.
Another dangerous helminthes is Trichura Tichurasis. A common misconception about pork is that if it is cooked well, these ova die. In a research project undertaken in America, it was found that out of twenty-four people suffering from Trichura Tichurasis, twenty two had cooked the pork very well. This indicates that the ova present in the pork do not die under normal cooking temperature.
4. Pork has fat building material
Pork has very little muscle building material and contains excess of fat. This fat gets deposited in the vessels and can cause hypertension and heart attack. It is not surprising that over 50% of Americans suffer from hypertension.
5. Pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth
The pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth. It lives and thrives on muck, faeces and dirt. It is the best scavenger that I know that God has produced. In the villages they don’t have modern toilets and the villagers excrete in the open air. Very often excreta is cleared by pigs.
Some may argue that in advanced countries like Australia, pigs are bred in very clean and hygienic conditions. Even in these hygienic conditions the pigs are kept together in sties. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean they are filthy by nature. They eat and enjoy their own as well as their neighbour’s excreta.
6. Pig is the most shameless animal
The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. In America, most people consume pork. Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives; i.e. many say "you sleep with my wife and I will sleep with your wife." If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs
Islam is against this. As the rules are not set by ourselves

No, because we follow the commandment of God.
[016:114] So eat of the lawful and good food which Allâh has provided for you. And be grateful for the Graces of Allâh, if it is He Whom you worship.
[016:115] He has forbidden you only Al-Maitah (meat of a dead animal), blood, the flesh of swine, and any animal which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allâh (or has been slaughtered for idols or on which Allâh's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, and not transgressing, then, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[016:116] And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: "This is lawful and this is forbidden," so as to invent lies against Allâh. Verily, those who invent lies against Allâh, will never prosper.
[016:117] A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment.
[016:118] And to those who are Jews, We have forbidden such things as We have mentioned to you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) before (see Verse 6:146). And We wronged them not, but they used to wrong themselves.

I think you have to respect peoples' food choices whether for religious reasons or not! I know a lot of Christins who dont eat everything! I'm sure there are a lot of vegetarian Christians! My Dad goes to church every week but detests brussels sprouts, swede, cabbage and tomatoes.
