yeah im near qualifying in my medical degree(MBcHB sheffield), well you deal with sick people in every day working life with many differet problems depending what you would eventually specialise in. for example general surgeons operate on the bowel removing tumours/ sections of bowel etc a cardiologist deals with problems of the heart eg heart failure where the heart isnt working as well as it should. saying this all specialities interrelate in alot of patients, so you tend to deal with patients with a mixture of illnesses.
expect to see blood /guts/vomit/diarrhoea/ nasty puss in infected wounds etc etc IT IS NOT GLAMOROUS! so dont be fooled thinking it is from tv programmes.
at medical school you tend to spend the first few years (UK) academic science work in the uni through lectures/dissection of cadavers/ group work etc, where you learn about all the body systems how they function normally and what goes wrong with them, at the same time trying to show you the anatomy in the body by dissection. you also get taught the types of symptoms patients will suffer from certain diseases. As you progress to the clinical years you learn more in depth the mechanisms of disease and their treatment, including pharmocology/biochemistry/microbiology.
whilst on placements on wards you are taught how to examine the body systems( eg listen to the heart), take histories from patients (eg what did they come in with etc ) perform clinical skills (eg take blood ) with every year you get to do more and more.... i hope this helps, if you are interested you should try and get a taster at a hospital etc i love medicine because its a very challenging environment, its different most days at work, there is a real feeling of satisfaction to see a patient walk out of hospital well, on the downside you do have to deal with death and believe me telling relatives this news is awful but you can take comfort in the fact that everything possible was done.

as far as miss anaesthesiologist, taking the pee out of your writing just ignore it, like most people of the 21st century who use text messaging, you do sometimes end up spelling like that, so long as you can form a sentance on a day to day basis .........

I have an M.D. degree, and I work as an anesthesiologist.

As far as getting the degree, I graduated from college with a degree in psychology, and then went to medical school for 4 years. Following that, I spent 4 years as a resident.

As for what sort of stuff I "deal with"... you would need to be more specific. In my daily work? In getting my degree?

Here's a hint, though. If you want a medicine degree, start writing like an educated person. Nobody wants a doctor that writes "u wanna".

Pangolin is allegedly a physician and she's answered over 1200 questions over the past 7.5 months? I don't know many doctors who would spend that kind of time fooling around on the internet, but hey, it's 21st century.
