We are suppose to be a Country of LAWS, so yes we should follow the law.
That includes all of the illegal immigration laws on the books.

you're misinformed approximately this. while an American 19 years of age or below who provides beginning in a remote places usa then that new child is a citizen of the country born in and could no longer be an American citizen. Obama's mom replaced into 19 or below while she gave beginning in Kenya which makes Obama a citizen of Kenya and not america. it extremely is the regulation.

sure but who gets to choose what is good moral character? what should they base that on? as far as the english language goes that's also a major thing.should they have college level knowledge of the english language and the same with the history.as for attachement to the U.S i believe that those that become citizens already do that. Its called oath of citizenship.though its a shame that if you did that with everyone regardless if they are legal or not, that many wouldnt pass it,but yet again the many U.S citizens feel they should be exempt from a lot of things.

You know what, I became a naturalized American, and I can tell you that the process is tedious. There is a lot required in the government and history part which a lot of Americans do not know. That should not be part the process. There are 100 questions that you must know the answer to cuz you don't know which 5 or so they might ask you.

America is the leading country that people want to immigrate to , so why should our requirements be so lenient? and if some one doesn't want to pledge allegiance to this country why should they be allowed to become citizens, That is why we have so much problems with our so called immigrants now, and the communist A,CL,U. IS TO BLAME FOR MOST OF THE PROBLEMS, also why should the American people be forced to support these immigrants who come here and start yelling for their welfare checks even before they get off of the boat that brought them here free, our forefathers damned sure didn't get welfare when they landed on Americas shores, the Indians would have scalped every one that even dared to ask ,

If we don't the United States will forever become the Late Great United States. Our country began it's decline at the end of World War II. It has been a down hill slide and uphill taxes ever since.
Personally I think Immigration is for the Birds. There is something very wrong when a person wants to leave their country of birth, unless it is just for a visit.

Yes. The illegals don't speak English and don't try to learn English. So how can they become the U.S citizens? I think you have to translate the citizenship exam into Spanish.

Shoot, many American born citizens wouldn't qualify then. Definitely, the illegals wouldn't qualify. Sadly, most of the politicians wouldn't qualify either. That "good moral character" part rules out most people.

I know people that were born here that couldn't pass the test to become a citizen & couldn't pass a test to become a citizen in any other country either.
