can anyone tell me if there is a solution to stop border collies "flying" there tails when they are in the show ring. I would'nt think there was a cure but maybe there is someone who as a answer to stop this happening ?

I've never shown border collies; just cockers and german shepherds so I don't know the answer; but you may be able to find what you are looking for. The last I heard Border Collies were not recognized by AKC; has this changed?
Maybe you can google border collie breeders and contact a few of them. I did find a website at bordercollies.omegan.org/dog_shows/ index . html that explains about showing them. Take out the spaces in the address. They are also open to questions you may have.

Get a handler....a REAL handler.

A little work and a couple of shows and they can have the problem under control and show you what you need to do.
Yes it has changed...Border Collies have been AKC registered for some years now.

I am a showdog handler and I know it takes a lot of time to train them so allyou can do is train it not to punish it if it does it and reward it if it dosent and if you ever need a handler to show for you then E/M me at jkeene2005@yahoo.com.

"GAY" tail?? Or just "happy" tail???
You can FIX a gay tail....but it's WRONG to.& doesn't change the GENETIC FAULT anyway.
"Happy" just takes TRAINING ......and yeah....a GOOD HANDLER!
