I need to know because I have an outdoor volleyball and am wondering if I should get an indoor volleyball and what the difference is.

There are many differences between indoor and outdoor balls. Mostly, it is the material used and how it reacts to the elements.
Using a leather indoor volleyball outside will cause it to become waterlogged - even on a dry day - due to the surroundings and the moisture (humidity) in the air.
The stitching/seams is a big difference as well - outdoor balls have stitched seams (the good ones), while the indoor balls are sealed seams.
The weight is also different. Using an indoor ball outside on a day with just a little breeze will cause chaos - it will blow everywhere. The outdoor balls are weighted slightly to allow for some breeze (though you can use the wind for your serve effectiveness).
Using an outdoor ball indoors isn't really that huge a deal, but the play will be different. Best bet is to use an indoor ball indoors. You will get much better indoor play, and you will look like you know what's up.
I own both, and I am glad of it. Best outdoor ball is the Wilson AVP silver or gold series (very soft leather, and they are WONDERFUL in durability). Best indoor ball (I think) is Tachikara is the way to go. Mikasa has a good ball for indoors, too. Go to a reputable sporting goods store and they can explain everything too you, and get you the best ball for the money (most expensive is not always the best).

If you are talking about the actual ball - outdoor volleyballs are a little heavier because the material will last longer. Indoor volleyballs are usually lighter and a good one is made out of leather. If you where to take an indoor volleyball outside to play a game, you will ruin it.

Well indoor volleyball is when its six on six when playing outdoor its usely beach volleyball which it usely 2 on 2 so there alot different but really if you have a outdoor volleyball you should probably get a indoor volleyball if you are playin indoor volleyball

Indoor volleyball is played on a volleyball court to where outdoor volleyball is played in the sand. Indoor volleyball is played with 6 players on each team, outdoor volleyball Can be played with 2 or more players on each side.

Indoor volleyballs are slightly cushioned. They're not as fun to play with. Stick with outdoor, even when you're playing indoors. Have fun!

indoor is on a court in a gym outdoor would be in sand. normally indoors it's 6 on 6 and outdoors it just depends
