Ok so I like this guy, everyone knows! He denies to believe it, and claims its a rumor! Is he denying because he doesn't like me or doesnt want me to like him?!

Ya he says it privately...he goes: "well she likes another guy, so why dont you go bug him!" (from an exact IM with my friend)

It could be either. How does he sound when he is denying it? If he is laughing and saying it in front of a lot of people then he probably doesn't want you to like him. If he says privately between you and him, " no..you don't like me". Then he probably is very flattered and is flirting with you. You have to disect on how he is saying this to you.

Hmmm that could go either way. He could be denying it because hes embarrassed and doesnt want to hear it anymore - or he could really not believe it and be like oh yeah right in a hopeful way, because it would be embarrassing for him if he was like omg really! So it depends.

He doesn't want you to like him because he doesn't like you. BY pretending not to have heard, he's trying to give you an out with some pride.
Take it. Tell him it's just a rumor.
