& whats the difference between a Christian & a Evangelist? I keep hearing his name but I don't know who he is. Thanks

Ted Haggard was the leader of a large evangelical church. Evangelists are Christians, they believe the same, the only difference is that Evangelical Preachers put more emphasis in pointing out sin and getting people saved. That is why Ted Haggard is such a hypocrite, his poor wife, she has to raise five children and know that her husband is a secret homosexual. What a burden she carries.

He is a Christian A evangelist is a man or woman who goes from town to town preaching the word of god. Ted Haggard is a man of God how fell short he is also a man of God who right now need our prayers and understanding, and most of all our forgiveness. A Christian means just being Christ like

If you google his name you will get more info. He started a church in his basement about 25 years ago, and it grew into one of the largest in the country. He resigned this last week, after confessing to sexual immorality.
The word "Christian" is usually used to describe someone who believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God, or perhaps even God in human form.
The word "Evangelist" is usually used to describe a Christian who attempts to convert large numbers of people to a belief in Christ.

He was an evangelical preacher and head of the National Evangelical association. They take a hardline stance against gay people. It recently came out that he was seeing a gay prostitute and had bought meth. Evangelicals are a subset of the Christian faith that take the Bible literally and feel its important to spread God's word.
