See, that's the point... all of the answers are provided for them. There is no reason to think. Do you really believe that people who use logic would fall for all this religious crap?

I'm not much for being religious myself. However, I do prefer to be spiritual which is entirely different.
As for believing that the texts of The Order are any kind of proof....well no. They are as anything else, a collection of writings about the experiences and observations of other Masters handed down through time. But certainly not
"proof".

Yes, I do. And as a reasonably intelligent, thinking adult, I CHOOSE to believe that my religious texts prove my point. I began as a wounded adult who had no belief in a god who would allow the atrocities in this world today. I needed answers, and I studied until I felt that for me, I had found them. The road I was headed on certainly wasn't the answer, nor was anyone I was associated with able to satisfactorily answer my questions. Jehovah's Witnesses and the Bible did. So I'm happy, and I'm sorry that that bothers some folks!

A religion's texts are usually the basis of the religion, and the acceptance of the texts usually requires a bit of faith.
And of course it baffles you - that's because you didn't take the time to think the question through!

Hi, I am Rational Spirituality,
I do not believe that many of them think.
But you apparently do, and if you would like to read something different, try "Rational Spirituality" available on the Dhaxem website. Only conveyed in Februaary 2006, it is already a major force amongst the thinking people.

It depends on the religion, Buddhists are not that foolish.
Do not believe something simply because you have heard it. Do not believe anything simply because it has been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe anything simply because it is written in Holy Scriptures. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of teachers, elders, or wise men. Believe only after careful observation and analysis, when you find that it agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all. Then accept it, and live up to it.

Me too. In the absence of any proof they say you must have faith because it says so in the Bible but the whole point is that the Bible we are supposed to have faith in contains no proof so the Bible is a reason not to have faith. It is not a reason to have faith.

I would imagine that many religious people take things on faith, so they don't really feel there is 'proof' of anything.
