I have friends who're enthusiast (and powerful) fisherman. virtually all of them freeze their fish in water. it really is to assert: ziploc freezer bag, fish fillets, fill as a lot as conceivable with water, go away room for ice enlargement. They actual flow 6 months, some declare three hundred and sixty 5 days. At any price, it received't flow "undesirable" purely lose flavor faster or later. i'm a fan of vaccum sealing my clean meats if I plan on them being contained in the freezer a lengthy time period. That procedure is hard to conquer IMHO. I have not done with fish besides the undeniable fact that.

Well wrapped to avoid freezer burn 6 months.
It is a good idea to freeze fresh fish in water. You get one of those stand up zipper bags ( or container of choice) put the fish in and cover it with water let it stay open (the water will expand) in the freezer, when it forms ice add more water to cover the fish completely when frozen close bag, get all the air out. Your fish will taste like fresh when you're ready to cook it, and will stay good longer and you'll never have to worry about freezer burn.

If it's well wraped it stays tasty for about 3 months, every month after that it will still be good to eat but it's flavor will go down hill

Up to 3 months. At least that's what it says on our deep freeze.

I'd say a few months, maybe 3. If it's vaccuum sealed, it can stay even longer.
