Lol, i blew up my old microwave 3 times before I went ahead and broke down and paid the 20 bucks for another one...same with my toaster only it was a fire....you should never never never put butter on the top of the toaster while its on....it will melt and catch fire...just so you know. If you have the money available you should go ahead and try to get another one...just to be safe.

You probably shouldn't, because the fire could've messed up the seal that keeps all of the harmul waves inside of the microwave. Try getting it fixed by a proffesional, or you'll have to get a new one.

Well my Grand daughter did that once (the fire) It stunk so I cleaned out with (of all thing) a mix of water and automotive degreaser (it's potent wear gloves) and the smell went away and they still use it every day a year later. Make sure that that little pad covering inside is not damaged or then you can replace that if you don't cooking will cause sparking.

It depends, I mean if I were you I would stay away from it. I've had a little flame in my microwave and it still worked, but if the top is black.... mmmm..... I'd say you just buy a new one, they can come cheap!

I wouldn't recommend it. Have it repaired or replace it. Microwaves aren't all that expensive these days.

I wouldn't. It may give your food a funny burnt smell and taste. It may also be unsafe to use.
