The car I want to use to bring someone to take a road test in has the check enjine light on all the time. I'm planning to get it fixed right after the road test. Do you think they will let someone take the test in the car or will they say they can't take the test in the car?

As long as the car runs, and can pass the DMV or MVD safety checks (mirrors, brake lights, headlights, turn signals) then it should be fine for the test. You can also go to your states motor vehicles division website and see if they have requirements listed.

yes,,i own a repair shop, and i can tell you it has to be in good condition, and everything must work on it also and it helps to have it clean too,but make sure your use to driving the car you take the test in,and you know where everything is on it ,if you don't ,,they,ll deduct points from you for taking to long to find something like a turn signal or maybe a light ,just be familiar with it,and you,ll do ok..good luck,i hope this help,s.

No. Everything should be in working order and the light indicates a problem. It could be a simple fix or not.
