Yes... and I find it funny that so many people want to point fingers at the problems in the world... lets step back and look...
1) School shootings are not a new thing... they weren't invented at Columbine... Look back into the 80's... on College campus's... even go back as far as D-Day... when a man went into an Elementary School in New England... shot and killed Teachers and babies... etc. etc. etc...
2) Terrorism is not a new thing in America... in fact... there was even a bomb that was defused by the Japs on a beach outside NYC in WW2...
3) Kids ARE just as responsible or more than they were in the preceding generations... and most of the people who say that Kids are not responsible... are the same people who grew up in the 60's... so... hang on just a sec... you're tellin' me that kids were more responsible smokin' dope and protesting??? what about the 70's... same thing.... 80's... Were they more responsible in the 80's when AIDS became a widespread epidemic and Crack/Cocaine took it's foothold???
The world is just as good and just as evil as it always has been... and the Younger generations are faced with the same problems that they always have been faced with... in fact... they are faced with much more problems today... and given all they have to worry about in their lives... they do a wonderful job of decision making...
lets not judge the actions of the whole... based on the actions of the few... News would not be news if it wasn't the exception to the majority...

If you mean did the youth cause our problems as a species. No
Are youth in any category, group, country, religion, economy, politic or tradition facing the same problems as all others. Yes
Are youth the only ones responsible for determining how we can each assume our responsibility in tune with all others. No, but each of each is.
Evolving within and throughout a mutual spirit of accumulating conscientiousness; has proven to be beyond human concern in spite of our claims and declarations, few hold promise.
Existence exists without any desire to be abused by indiference, each is responsible for the part they play.

There are very few. Many are though, i know i am. The whole idea of respect and responsibility doesn't just go POOF in to the air. Us teenagers, we are reflections of our parents. If you have good parents, then you come out with respect, responsibility, and the other virtues of life. I'm 14, and i think my parents, even though they annoy me sometimes, have done a great job in teaching me responsibility. The answer to you question: in general, no, the youth isn't responsible, but there are many kids individually who are.

Yes, today's youth is more responsible than ever. Usually both parents have careers, so they have to do a lot on their own. They are expected to go to college and even graduate school. They need to be able to go to school, get good grades, and still either go out for sports or work at a job to earn extra money. They have a lot of pressure on them and need to be responsible in order to meet expectations.

I think most of today's youth is responsible. We only hear about the ones who are not. It is my belief that the future is going to be a lot brighter because most of the youth of today are intelligent, caring, thinking people.

Responsible for what?If you are talking about their behavior, yes and no.It is time that this country brought back respect and discipline. These two things are sadly lacking in this country. To bring these back is a must.It has to start at home, from responsible adults. Then it must carry on through schooling, including being punished for misbehavior, not condoning it.There is no respect or discipline at schools, that ought to change urgently.Because of the PC brigade, the youth of today are out of control and know they can get away with outrageous things.Respect and discipline go hand in hand.

Nobody is soley responsible for today's social ills. One could blame the government for not helping, or the person for not seeking help. One could blame the youth for becoming deviant, or one could blame the parents for not raising their children properly. Then within these points there is three different views, so unfortunately, there is no cut and dry explanation.

I am apart of today's youth, and no, most of us aren't. We have no more respect for ANYTHING anymore! And then the bad youth grows up and raises a WHOLE NEW generation!

Are they responsible for what? Oh, you mean are they mature and conscientious! I'm sure that some of them are, but don't worry, they don't have the slightest chance of rising through the media-subverted democratic system to become the leaders of their generation. Instead, they will be led by their liars and by their scoundrels, just as we were led by ours.
