Ok, so my best friend is a girl (i'm a guy) we are 15 (mature) and have known each other for 2 years. Recently-for about the last two weeks- she has been asking for hugs alot, almost every day, and keeps saying she loves me. She had never done either of these before. But the thing is, she has just gotten a boyfriend (16), so I dont know what is up with the hugging etc. all of a sudden. I like her more than a friend and I have to tell her (I will wait till she breaks up with the guy), but I want to know, why might she be getting more touchy so much so quickly? If I am walking her home she puts her arm around me, and the other day I just made the flippant comment; hey, the cat's giving me a back rub, none of ye are that nice (to a group of friends) and she said "I'd give you a back rub". Both of you are too young... and what might be happening is that she must has some feelings for you... and is confused... because her new boyfriend... doesn't know her like you do!

It sounds like she really likes you. She could have gotten the boyfriend to try and make you jealous. A sort of, "Show him what he could have" kind of thing.
A second option is that she's using you to try and make her boyfriend jealous. But because she puts her arm around you when her boyfriend's not there, I'd say it probably not the second option.
Third option is that now that she has a boyfriend, she thinks it's pretty clear that if she acts like that she doesn't like you because she's with someone else. However, the extent to which it's going to doesn't make me think this is what's up.
I'd say she almost definitely is into you. Make your move, hon. Keep us posted on how it goes!

Uhhh I'm 15 too and I have been in that kind of situation. I think that you should ask her what's going on and how does she feel about you regardless of what her boyfriend thinks. And don't wait for them to break up that could take months talk to her now wheneve u get da chance too. Do not wait I made that mistake. I had the same situation before years ago in high school. At that age girls tend to fall for their guy friends even though they may date someone else, my advice tell her you like her but be carefull ----If you don't really like her or if you aren't ready to become a one woman man keep it to yourself she probably feels that she loves you and it will crush her for years if you dump her after starting to date her.

Well she is just being nice, and she is comfortable with you so she can treat you like a girl friend, so don't read between the lines, there's nothing there, she considers you a great pal, that's it

maybe she is trying to tell you she likes you but is afraid to come out and say anything about it or maybe she is using the new boyfriend in hopes you'll come around. Ask her how she really feels after all tomorrow is not promised to us.

I think that she like you and dont know how to approach you with it, maybe she wants you to come to her about it make the first move and she could be using the guy to show you what you could have.

maybe she doesn't like her boyfriend anymore and likes you. Hopefully she'll break up with her boyfriend and you can tell her how you feel about her! good luck I hope things work out between you.

It seems as if she likes you too. Have you told her how you really feel? it may make all the differents. Confront her, and ask her, what her feelings are towards you?
