My Great Grandmother saw it leave Southhampton. She was six. She passed away this year thought, just made it to 100. Her father worked on the dock and took her brother and herself to see it leave.

While I do not have a relative, I am guessing that there are probably not a lot of people LIVING that saw Titanic leave. After all, one of the last living survivors passed away about 6 months ago. I think she may have been the last one or the next to last one, as she was an infant when the ship was sinking!

People may have relatives whom SAW Titanic leave, but those relatives are probably gone now...as well as the history that went with them!

The last passenger did not die and she was not an infant during the sinking. She was 5 years old and had memories of the voyage. She was last passenger old enough to remember it, and the last American survivor. There are now 2 survivors left; they were born in 1911 and 1912.

I know my mother lived in the same neighborhood as a survivor - they were family friends. She's long since passed away.

I don't know any relatives that saw the ship leave port, however, my great grandmother was supposed to travel on it, but her paper work was not in order so she was unable to get on the ship. I think it is amazing how God works sometimes.
