Probably still needs the key under the Ford badge on the front. Rotate it out of the way and you used to find a key hole there, I expect you still will.

Not got a Mondeo ,but on the fiesta its on the left hand side under the glove compartment ,try there,bloody stupid place to put it if you ask me,couldnt find mine for ages.
