sometimes it helps to deal with facts by ignoring them but this issue is not abstract.the american govt has created more terrorists who are coming after us even after we withdraw.hardly anybody even talks of this but its not like we can withdraw and forget everything.we have left behind many bitter people who want our blood.suppose they do just half of what weve done over there?

Maybe we should have never entered into Iraq...fighting on two separate fronts throughout history has never really worked out too well... Napoleon, Hitler.

You have a point, allow me to make a counter point. Whenever we leave Iraq, I am sure some people will be very happy and some will be worried and sad. At any rate, we have already made the point that if you have the balls to attack this nation of ours on US soil, there will be a severe price to be paid. Ergo-if I am a terrorist the last option in my mind is to copy 9-11 and have US forces back in the heart of the Middle East. Cause next time we will not EVER leave. Pulling out of Iraq alone would not heal any wound. The damage has been done. Every Muslim on the surface of this earth is praying for the complete destruction of America. Only very few among them pause to think that the evils being perpetrated in the name of US is not surpported by all Americans. The general notion is that America and Americans are Muslim haters and as such deserves nothing but war and destruction in return for the the carnage they have pertpetrated in Muslim countries.

What America need to do is to embark on Image laundering campaingn. To instill in Muslims the confidence and trust that they are their friends and not haters. To try to seek for means of restoring the lives of those displaced in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran Palestine etc. This would reduce the level of hostilities against America and American interests by Muslims.

No, if/when we deploy our Troops it will embolden the terrorists, a new dictator will take over and the terrorists will bring the war to the U.S. and the entire middle east and other European countries.
