NYC is a fun place to visit. As previously noted its alive and moving all of the time. If you like art I would recommend the Metropolitan Museum of art, if it bone go the the Natural History Museum. For attractions you have to catch a Broadway show and check out Time Square. If you are going to be there in the near future you have to see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center and catch the Rockets at Radio City Music Hall (i have seen it twice). Needless to say there is a lot to see in NY. My best advise is "don't get in to it, cause if you don't you don't have to worry about getting out of it"... Basically don't take risks, stay where their are people, don't walk in the park after dark, try be be with a friend (not alone), take a cab Vs. walking blocks at night... you know what i mean. Have a great time in the city

I have lived in NYC all my life and let me tell you its the most exciting place. Theres no place like it, if your in to the hustle and bustle of big cities, loads of people, music, history, art, dining out, broadways shows, skating, SHOPPING, and just about anything else fun and exciting you wont be dissapointed they dont call it the city that never sleeps for nothing!!!... I should tell you though its exspensive. Some people never really get to experience NY becuase their cash is limited

Hey Carol,

I just answered another question about NYC. It is really one of my favorite places. I lived near by most of my life and go back often. Basically, If you are visiting try to stay somewhere in town. The most popular areas to visit are SOHO, the village, Rockefeller Center area, Museum Row (Fifth Avenue) between 59th Street and 92nd Street. Fifth Avenue between 23rd and 59th great window shopping and strolling. Ask for help at your hotel and have lots of fun!

I have visited there and I have to say I loved it. There is so much to do. The city is alive. I stayed with a friend in Astoria, Queens so I had a local "tour guide". Still I had so much fun. You will have a good time.
