details of a german painter, Johan Snyder or Snider.?

i am looking for any details on a german painter called Johan Snyder ( or his sername could be spelt Snider.) My father-in-law purchased 3 of his paintings at the end of the 2nd world war just before he came back to britain, 2 of the paintings are of lilac in a vase, i would like any imformation on this painter please. The man I think you need is Johan Ludwig Schneider (1809-1870) who came from Denmark.

Link 1 is to one his recently sold paintings.

There is, however, a Swiss artist called Johann Jakob Schneider (1822-1889), but I would not think he would be likely to paint lilies (bit I may be wrong).
