My dog is a mid- sized, mid-aged australian cattle dog mix and loves to run. However, anytime after, her right hip becomes painful enough where she has to limp around. She loves/needs to exercise, and I'm wondering if there is any therapy for her to help her with any pain.

See the vet. Have an x-ray done to see what the problem is. It could be the hip, it could be the knee. Maybe there is a surgical correction for it. Maybe they can prescribe a medication that will help her feel better.

You should definitely take her to the vet to find out what is causing her pain. Your vet may be able to get rid of her pain entirely depending on the problem. You could also try stretching her before you take her out to play. If she is in a lot of pain after wards and you haven't taken her to the vet yet, you can give her an aspirin for the pain. This is the ONLY human pain reliever that a dog can have.

I would indeed take her to the vet for a check up. It could be something like hipdysplasia or earlier arthritis. A few extras and your vet should be able to tell. If it's arthritis a friend of mine gives his dog (and himself!) glucosamine right from the grocery store. Hipdysplasia would require surgery if you're willing to go that route. It's expensive, but totally worth it if you love your baby girl. I had surgery on my pup one year ago this month and he's like brand new.
Also, some vets do offer water therapy. This is where the dogs walk on a treadmill in water. The water helps take some of the pressure off of the hip joints while allowing muscle to build.

She could have a hip problem, and the best way to find out the treatment to make it feel better......is to take her to a vet. Let them find out exactly what is causing the pain. Could be bone fragments in the hip socket, or something else uncomfortable that becomes irritated.

Yes, take her to the vet. You might also give her fish oil (found with the vitimans) which helps with joint pain.

Add glucosomine to your dog's diet. I have a large dog who takes Gluco-Max and I don't worry about his big joints at all.
