When I Come Home To Heaven
When I come home to Heaven
How joyful it will be!
For on that day at last
My risen Lord I’ll see.
No greater happiness than
To see Him face to face,
To see the love in His eyes
And feel His warm embrace.
I’ve done nothing to deserve
That perfect home above.
It was given freely through
The grace of Jesus” love.
Then why should early cares
Weigh down upon me so?
They’ll be a distant memory
When home at last I go.

Thank you Kenny. We often need someone to point out the important things in life. This poem is wonderful.
Too often we get involved in the petty little things here like "does he like me?" or "is he cheating?". You have reminded us that in the long run it doesn't really matter.
Please keep up the poetry. You touch us all with your words.

So you're the kind of guy that goes out to dinner at a restaraunt and then leaves one of your pamphlets as a tip...right? And then you do the same thing here. Keep your questions in the right category.
And i think you wanted "earthly" instead of "early" at the beginning of the last verse

The fourth stanza is somewhat abstruse to me. It's a great poem though. I'm not worried aout not going there.
