Assuming that the gums around your other teeth are not bleeding, I would have to say that it is not normal. Maybe for a day or two, but not for a couple of months. I would suggest that there may still be a piece of resing cement stuck to your tooth or maybe the crown is "less than perfect" where it meets the gums. I think you should call your dentist to have this checked out. Tell him/her that "no place else bleeds and this never used to bleed" and you just wonder what is wrong. Good luck, though.

I had a crown just last week, and my gums surrounding the tooth that has the crown bled up until yesterday. It's bruising of the gums that will cause your gums to swell, hence causing your gums to bleed. It's normal, healthy process of healing. To assist in the healing, you could swish salt water in your mouth. I would say if it still continues after about a week to consult your dentist.

But considering it's been over 2 months for you, your crown may not have been placed on correctly. I would definately call your dentist.
