He wanted us here, since He couldn't exactly have us floating around in space infesting the rest of the universe. Here, at least - we're self-contained. Quarantined, in a matter of speaking.

If you assume that God needed us here you will find the answer with whatever religion worships a "concept" of God that you accept. If you do not believe in a God that created us for a purpose then the reason is yours to decide. Actually the reason is always yours. You choose what God to accept or deny and thus, you choose the purpose. Good luck.

We were put here to
a) Look after the earth (Genesis 1:26-30), and I assume later the universe.
b) To learn about creation, and to enjoy life (Ecclesiastes 3:10-13).
Of which I am very grateful to God.

Absolutely nobody who ever walked this planet, alive today or at any time in the past, has ever had a chance to discuss this with "God" assuming that there is such a mysterious invisible superbeing in the first place... which of course, depends entirely on what any particular person believes. Ask a hundred people that same question and you are likely to get 100 different answers.

The Bible says it all: "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the life stock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." Genesis 1:26.
Man lost the opportunity to rule when Satan successfully deceived him. As a result of the Fall of man, Satan took over the rule. In respect of this, the Bible says: "We know that we are children of GOD, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.." 1 John 5:20.
In actual fact, there was no sexual offense committed in the Garden. In the first place, the Bible does not say so. Secondly, the Bible tells us: "GOD blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." Genesis 1:28.
Satan deceived Adam and Eve to take over the rule of this world. He and his agents have been busy lying about this by telling a juicy story of romantic escapade. This is not in the Bible.

Hello.
God is good and He loves happiness, peace and truth.I enjoy having this physical appearence like do others and like I do when I see any beautiful creature of Lord God.
Why are we suufering on this earth?one thing is sure and safe to believe in it is that God in innocent and evry evil and sadness are the crime of the devil and his regiments of shame.we shall be wse and intelligent,so,we accuse and condemn the real responsibles...shame on the devilll!
why Jesus did not come to save us?I thinbk that Jesus is not a sadist nor a wicked savior,so,He did not come for we are noble men and women and gonna repare our world by ourselves..this would make us happy and Jesus,Mary and God too.the victory of all...this is what I think about the reason of our existance..may God save me and all the innocent humans, amen!

I think there are a lot of very positive reasons to be here on this earth.
For starters, God gives each of us gifts, talents and abilities, and we can use these gifts, talents, and abilities to help others. I think that sometimes God places on our heart to help people, and we can become part of God's solution for daily problems in this life.

We're here to eat Taco Bell, play tennis, watch Matlock, and use Yahoo! Answers.
In other words, we're here to do a lot of things. There's no "grand purpose" and there's no "great meaning of life" above everything -- we're just here to live, and make the most of things during this short time we've got.

Heaven and hell are booked to the max. Peace be with you. OK seriously, we are here so our spirit can take body and demonstrate physical life. That is the only way you spirit can progress. With each incarnation you reach a goal in your spirits book of life, each chapter is each mission that you have fulfilled with either a positive or negative life experience.
We needed to be here not that he needed us here.
