Is it fair to dress dogs up in pretty clothes or do they not like it? Some breeds seem happy wearing clothes but are they really??

They're not happy, they're just use to it like getting use to wearing a collar when they are puppies. I think it's pathetic. Have a baby instead is what I think. Dogs have fur, they don't need a designer jumper over the top.

I think its very unfair to dress a dog up in clothes, how uncomfortable must the poor things be, we saw a woman with a pug during the summer and she had the poor little thing dressed in this stupid jumper, the poor dog was in so much distress panting with the heat, she wasn't best pleased when I told her I thought she was been very mean distressing her dog like that, dogs don't need clothes to restrict them, they just need to be what they are, DOGS.

If it is a small dog it's pretty cute...and pretty cold! I think dogs dressed in clothes are cute if they are smaller breeds. but other than that answer this question: Why do dogs bite people? OK give up? answer: they are being dressed up and most dogs don't like it!!

it is not fair to dress up dogs in fact I've never heard of anything more stupid no breed is happy wearing clothes if you want a baby substitute and if it's possible have a baby and leave your poor pets to be what they are animals who all through their development have had their natural clothing

I think it ok to put clothes on a dog in certain situations. If the dog is old or has a very short coat and it is cold out, they may need a jacket to keep them warm when they go outside to the bathroom. When it is raining and the dog is an inside dog I think it is ok to put a raincoat on them so they do not get soak and wet.

Some dogs do it to make you happy. The happier you are, the happier they are. For smaller, short haired dogs and elderly, i thinks its OK for a sweater or jacket during the winter. Otherwise, I would recommend staying away from clothing.

Well i have 3 Papillons and have proper winter coats that just sit on top, but i must admit i have bought them all a santa outfit so i can take there photo at xmas. The dogs don,t seem to have a problem,to little dogs who like fussing they love the attention but i would not let them wear them all day as it would be like them being in a straight jacket and i love my babies to much to hurt them in anyway.

dogs should not be dressed as Barbi dolls..they are dogs..i have a rule i don't wear fur and they don't wear human clothes.....
i feel very strongly about this it denigrates the dog who is beautiful in its own right and not a toy to be dressed up taking the animals dignity away...

i think its gross its taking away the poor dogs dignity. Big dogs do not mind bandanas around their necks though. But tu-tus are discusting. I really feel for tinkerbell paris hiltons dog poor thing. Some breeds of dog need a jacket as they are almost hairless.
