it is not the kind of antenna on my trailer, it is 1 antenna on the tv. The antenna looks like a radio antenna.

it has a dial and a 3-way switch for channels and one antenna. I am having trouble picking channels up.

You may not be close enough to the transmitter towers. Theres a link bellow to find the available stations in your area. You might need to get a better antenna. A very cheap alternative is to just run a piece of speaker wire to the outside of your trailer and attatch it to your tv input. This is highly discouraged if you live in an area prone to lightning.
If you live in the US all tv signals will switch to digital in Feb. of 2009. The second link explains why. To still receive tv you will need an ATSC receiver. I got mine from Ebay for around $90 (US Digital db-2010). Its very confusing which receivers will work with a regular tv. I have found that most store employees either dont know what they are talking about or they are commisioned and want you to buy an HDTV. Basically if it has Composite outputs it more than likely will work with a regular TV.

well, i dont think you can with just a regular tv and an antenna

Just find the public acess channel in your area.By clicking to every channel,you should find something
