I want to know what other females think of these short, intimate relationships of “very close” friendship where a guy would give all his love to a girl (but won’t have intercourse with her), and a girl would love a guy, and give him all the emotional support he needs and they would hug and kiss each other and enjoy the time they spent together and love each other as if they are meant to be together. But after a while (***assuming they agreed to it before starting this relationship***), they would break up when they find a real, permanent partner with whom they will develop a real long term relationship, get married, and etc...

Do you favor this kind of a relationship or dislike it, why or why not?

Would you want to be in this relationship, why or why not?

I kno the kind your talkin about it, n it's the most wonderful damaging thing there is. When you get involved in sumthing like that, you end up investing a lot of your time and emotion, and when you break up, even if it is for sumone better, it feels like you've done it for nothing. Emotions are a lot stronger than we think they are, and short intimate ones can leave one, or both partners, feeling hollow inside. I personally think that there's nothing more genuine than a relationship with no sex, because tho u miss the physical, you know for sure that the other is in it for you, and only you. But if it ends up with you two going your seperate ways, whether that was agreed on or not, in the end, it hurts. I would kno.

i have never heard of that before and i am not quite sure why anyone would do that....why are you giving all of yourself to someone whom you know you will not be with? why not skip all of that and go straight to looking for that real and permanent relationship and put your energies into that instead of an already-agreed-upon "non relationship"......but that is what i think....people can and should do what makes THEM happy

Sounds like using each other to me...even if there is no sex you are using each other for emotional support until you find "the one". Ick!

dont waste your time. Just keep him as a friend. I wouldnt breakup a friendship just because I got married or something.
