That is not true at all. I have used shampoos that were about $40 and were not any better than the drugstore brands. The days that drugstores carried cheap quality shampoos is over. With all of the lawsuits that have been happening over the years, the drugstore brands could be as good as the beauty salon ones. That said, I highly recommend Sunsilk and Garnier Nutrisse. Stay away from Pantene or anything that has alcohol in it.

I love this shampoo from L'occitane (French Brand), it contains a Chinese herb called Angelica and it's great for hair, my hair used to be dry and now it's all shiny and healthy! The price is a bit on the high side though, you can check the details at: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=324

I would disagree that you have to buy your shampoo from a salon in order for it to be good for your hair. I use pantene and have used it for years and my stylist always comments on the health of my hair.

Baby shampoo is the best. It doesn't strip the hair of essential oils but yet cleans thoroughly.

I would also say baby shampoo, it's very sensitive to your hair but cleans as well.

try Phytology you can only buy it at the hairdresser. Its organic and not tested on animals, its great for coloured hair and damaged. Its about 20$ a bottle but its worth it.
