my wee girl is exposed to a very loud barking dog at her grans house. my fiance says she has to get used to loud noises, but i am concerned about her hearing. she is only 1 past last month. she already seems to be shouting alot. do you think i am correct to be concerned? any advise would be most welcome.

Kids have very good hearing. Loud noise can hurt their little ears. The child will get use to noises on her own. The dog can really hurt her little ears. I would take her to a doctor and tell them what she is doing and that you are concerned about her hearing. I WOULD BE REALLY CONCERNED. I hope this helps.

Yes id be very concerned. If i was you id make a doctors apt to have her ears checked..Even if she was exposed to loud noises she still shouldnt be shouting when she is talking. Goodluck to you!

My son had hearing problems when he was about 3 and after several examinations he had grommets inserted - he still shouts though. My advise would be to see your GP just incase.

my son is deaf, from birth, 10 weeks prem, now 3 years old. he asks to have his hearing aids in.

its not all bad!
