Yes they should!...When American POW's were being abused by the North Vietnamese, The USA made a big thing about it and they were right to do so.
Why should the USA be excluded in following The Geneva Convention?
If The USA refuses to follow The Geneva Convention Treaty, it might as well be tossed because no other Country will follow it either...then all POW's including Americans will be screwed!

A prisoner of war is one who wears a uniform telling which country he fights for. If the person does not wear a uniform then the Geneva Convention says that that person can be shot on the spot as a spy. The terrorist do not wear a uniform so they can be shot. The U.S. has not done this but maybe it is time to do so instead of giving these terrorist the rights of the Geneva Convention and trying to make them citizens of the U.S. by granting them the rights of a U.S citizen!
Therefor there are no prisioners of war because they do not have a uniform showing which country they fight for!

According to the Geneva Conventions combatants must wear an insignia of rank and the army that they fight for. The Geneva Conventions wanted to make sure that real soldiers receive decent prisoner status and decent treatment.
With each war there are battle field criminals, not real soldiers, that rob dead and wounded soldiers bodies, and commit atrocities. Those criminals can legally, and should, be shot. They are criminals and should never be given the status of real soldiers.

No that's merely laughable that human beings by some potential have self assurance by making use of resorting to the comparable variety of techniques of the enemy we are to any extent further valuable than them. Torture has been shown time and time lower back in distinctive discover ways to furnish faulty suggestions. The prisoners will merely say what they think of you prefer to pay attention or lie thoroughly to end the soreness. additionally waterboarding has been seen torture for quite a few hundred years so the controversy upon that's slightly ridiculous it for sure violates the Geneva conventions.

When you're at war with a country and dealing with their militray yes.
The insurgents and terrorist don't fall in that catagory. When they publicly behead innocent unarmed peace workers they deserve no protection under the Geneva covention. Their violent acts are meant to do one thing. Shock you into wanting to quit. I say we take it to them ten fold.

It probably should, but I for one given the choice of saving a company of Marines who are scheduled for ambush, and knowing a terrorists being questioned had inside information, would not hesitate to painfully end his life, if he didn't tell all he knew, most rickety tick!
This, of coarse, is an individual decision. I for one, if having executed that scenario, would have no problem sleeping at night.
Sociopath, no! Realist, yes!

To a point; but if the insurgents, terrorists, w/e arent going to fight fair (w/ all the fighting behind civilians, planting bombs on women and children, killing innocent civilians intentionally, soldeirs dressing like civillians, ect..) why should our soldeirs?
..Yeah I know we (America) should but lets put you in their shoes. Someones killing a bunch of your friends and unarmed civillians, they strapped a bomb to their 4 year old, and is standing behind his wife firing at you..Are you going to play it fair and let him and the rest of the enemy force keep doing it?

We are.
Haven't you noticed that the only time there has been evidence that we have not - it has been the result of an internal US military investigation?
How can you claim to 'support the troops' when you blindly believe enemy propaganda?

We always have and still do.
AS YOU SHOULD KNOW, terrorists are not prisoners of war.
Not here. Not in any country. Spies & terrorists have no protection, anywhere.
Never did.
The only people Terrorists have to care for them and take care of them are Democrats.
They support each other.
