First, to put it simply, the term "related" has a different meaning in genetics than in genealogy.
Second, apes are in zoos for severals reasons, the main ones being:
A) They wouldn't survive in many places unless in a controlled environment.
B) Just like penguins, they are funny and people like to look at them. Possibly though, the fact that there are so many similarities is what we like about watching them.
C) When invited over for dinner, they never say "please pass the...", and sometimes they eat their main course with a SALAD FORK. People got so tired of this that they decided a zoo would be a better place for them.
D) In some cases, they are safer and better protected in a zoo than in a forest that is soon-to-be clear-cut to make place for a third world farm.

Apes are in zoos because people will pay money to see apes. We are related to the apes on some genetic level though. Proven fact, and unlike truths, Facts do not require people to belive them for them to be facts.

there is for specific sturdy evidence that guy did not evolve from apes, apes are there very own, separate, actual stepped forward species, with unique features. there could be additionally sturdy evidence that guy and apes share a shaped ancestor. Having reported that, it now relies upon upon what YOU in my view remember "sturdy".... for a lot of human beings the opposable thumb and shape and "layout" of the vertebrae are sturdy sufficient. Others could do not forget DNA evidence sufficient. There are hundreds of hundreds if now not hundreds and hundreds of organic and organic similarities which cumulatively equivalent sturdy evidence... shape and shape of the ideas, the backbone, dissimilar interior organs, like the appendix, how approximately finger and toenails. shall we face it in terms of organic and organic variety... Theres lots extra evidence that God is a beetle than a mammal.

Because as closely related as we are to that species, their branch has remained animalistic and only semi-sapient and cannot be safely allowed to participate in society as a free individual. You DO understand that we weren't BORN from apes, we evolved from a common ancestral species, right?

clear and simple, apes are not humans! it's the 1% difference in their DNA from ours that separates them from humans. would you want an ape running around in your neighborhood? I see what you're trying to get at here but unfortunately you have only made a stronger argument for the theory of evolution, sorry.

If we are made in gods image, and so closely related to him, why does he throw some of us in hell.
So you know it is not a belief that we are closely related. It is already established that humans and chimps have a more than 98% genetic match. Just look at DNA. There is no argument, it is fact that you can look at with a microscope. Short of saying microscopes are all wrong, you don't have an argument.....If you do feel they are all wrong, you should consider psychiatric help.

We share a common ancestor with apes ..from millions of years ago. Our environmental stresses have caused humans to "evolve" differently whereas apes haven't.
