From what I understand that is an antifungal. I am using it to control (and hopefully reduce) a systemic yeast infection. As systemic yeast infections happen in only imbalanced bodies (mine is a blood sugar imbalance -diabetes) and yeast helps imbalance the body further, if arthritis, too, is caused by an imbalanced body - taking the tea may help to control one aspect of the imbalance.
A really old book I read "Body, Mind and Sugar" indicated that sugar imbalance (either high or low) might contribute to arthritis.
It may all be interconnected. www.hufa.org has some basic info on low blood sugar conditions.

I don't know but I have osteoarthritis in the severe degenerative stages, I've had spinal surgery seven times, on my shoulder and now my hands are going to be fused to stop the pain. It hasn't helped me.
