I have this problem, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and my the lower muscle of my leg hurts like hell, it feels like acid is in my leg, and the pain is unberable. It goes away after a few minutes but for the next few days it still hurts a little. Has anyone else felt this? How can I treat it?

It is a lower leg cramp....it feels like the muscle is tightening. I am not sure what it is called..."charlie horse" is what they call it out in the country. I don't think it is abnormal....what helps me is to step down flat on my foot for a few moments and it goes away.

leg cramps put a heating pad on it to get you through the night then see a Dr. to find out why you are having them. Could be just growing pains

You either sprained the muscle or you're having bad muscle cramps or you're experiencing what old folks call "growing pains".

Either way, put ice on the leg and drink plenty of fluids (water, not beer or coca-cola).

I hope you get to feeling better soon. ^_^

I work with a nutritionist. She has recommended to all of us and to the clients to include Flex Oil ( oil) not the capsules in your diet. 2 tablespoons a day. You can mix it with salads, food or drinks. It is really good. Give it a try.

I'm no doctor but maybe if you put some pillows under your leg at night and elevate it that might help
