Jesus loves us. Done deal.

On the other hand, I am fascinated by protons and electrons. I love scientific discoveries and their applications.

The universe, from the depths of our oceans to awesome space, is a gift from God to discover because we are loved. Science unearths evidence to the phenomenon of eternity, the enormity of vast reality, and the value of exploration. It's just life.

Both.

I am perfectly comfortable discussing science with an atheist, and I'm just as comfortable talking about my faith in Jesus, and His love for me.
I can't choose one. I'm comfortable with both. I was a non-believer for almost half the years I've been alive (twelve years I didn't believe, I'm 25 almost 26). So since the first seven years of my life don't really count, I was a non-believer for most of my life.
I know less about the Bible than I do about doubt.

in case you do not provide the Bible any credability by any skill, how the heck do you even comprehend that God despatched His "purely begotten Son." That reference is John 3:16. Or did you no longer comprehend that you've been quoting the Bible? At any price, to reply to your question, Jesus suggested that no human being replaced into taking His life from Him, yet that He laid it down and had the potential to take it up back. and then He did. He also suggested that He replaced into God. no human being compelled Him to do what He did. He did it because even with the actuality that he's a God of forgiveness, he's likewise a God of justice. He did not basically die for Adam and Eve's sins. He died on your sins and for MY sins and those of another human being's. possibly you do not comprehend the theory that God is basically and loving. think this. someone commits homicide. They stand in the previous a choose and the choose says, "Oh, that's ok. i'll be certain you're really sorry for what you probably did. you do not ought to flow to detention center." Is that justice? Heck no. In one of those case, all emotions should be positioned aside. What the assassin did replaced into incorrect and it should be punished. it really is why the choose takes the punishment on himself through demise in his position -- because he loves the assassin, as vile as he's. and under no circumstances purely that, notwithstanding the choose comes again to life. and under no circumstances purely that, notwithstanding the choose makes the assassin right into a sparkling guy -- this manner of human being who would not homicide back, this manner of human being who's quite sorry and would not basically pretend to be so as that he can get out of the punishment. that is the purely way that both unconditional love and justice should be served mutually.

"Jesus loves you" is the more comforting of the two, but I have absolutely no problem with "protons and electrons." Religion and science are not mutually exclusive.

are you implying that Christians are oblivious to scientific facts? You will find if you do your research that the majority of the people in the scientific community do belief in some form of higher power. As for me, I am only in high school, but I have high hopes of getting a job as a theoratcial physicist, so I am pretty comfortable in both areas.
