if you want to keep the b/f stop the flirting with the popular guy,you can't be popular and have no friends you said he is new and then you say he is popular,so stop the messing a round if you want Josh this other guy can do with one less friend if he is popular don't you think. You might get hooked up with a popular guy but keep in mind that they never stick to one girl.

If the new guy had lots of zits, was fat and ugly, missing some teeth, bad B/O, lice problem, etc....would you still be nice to him "just because he's new"?
I got a $20 that says you are flirting a little.

sounds like your boyfriend may be a bit insecure. if you are just talking to this new guy to make him feel welcome, then i don't see anything wrong with it.
tell your boyfriend that although you are in a relationship with him, it doesn't mean that you are going to completely avoid talking to other guys. assure him that your relationship is strong and that he has nothing to worry about.
if he insists that you stop talking to this new guy, then you may want to end the relationship. the last thing you need is a boyfriend that is totally obsessive and over-controlling. these are the signs of an abusive person.

Talk to him about it. I know what he's feeling. Guys get jealous when they see any other guys in any kind of flirt with the girl they love. It's currently happening to me. So Just straighten things out with him. I'm sure he loves you and will understand.

it kinda sounds like ur dr.suess with all the ryming.lol. set ur boyfriend straight. tell him up front that he's the only one u want. if this doesn't work, try setting up the new guy with a gal. that way u can prove to josh that new guy doesn't like u, either

i suggest you try not to be completely nice to hm but still stay friends with this new guy. let your bf know that you are not wanting to or meaning to or trying to flirt with this boy and explain to him that your being nice as greeting a new friend into your school.
i wish you the best of best luck

My advice: Seems like you both care for the other, so TALK TO EACH OTHER and take each other's feelings into consideration.

just tell your boyfriend your intentions and tell him that he shouldn't be threatened by him. if he loves you then he should trust you. you should also make things clear with your new friend that you are just being nice too.
but then again depends how nice you are. maybe you're doing some things that are way beyond being friendly. im not judging you but its possible..
ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS dearie.. remember that.
