Children are a direct reflection of their environment and the dicipline of their parents. There is no excuse for disobediant children. How old are your little brothers and sisters. Your parents are just probably too tired to modify their behavior.

its very sad you should have to deal with this situation. I would corner each one by themselves and let them know that you will not tolerate them being the way they are. if you are a lot older than they are I would not let them tag along with me. I would make a big deal out of going to get ice cream, to the movies, or even the mall. let them know they cant go because of disobedience.

I'm the eldest, and when I was at home, I was in charge of my little sister and brother...first of all, I don't think it right for parents to put the eldest in charge of the others, it can cause alot of problems, if they are left in charge alot.
They are your siblings, and you love them, so sit down and talk to them...explain to them that since you guys are together when your parents are out, that everyone needs to pitch in and help things to go smooth. If this doesn't seem to work, you need to talk to your parents, and then, everyone sit down and have a family meeting about it.

If they aren't yours then it is up to the parents how to discipline them, if you have to look after them then you should talk to them in a firm but caring voice and find out why they are misbehaving. All behaviour good and bad is for a reason remember to listen to both sides or the children will know that you are unfair and they will quickly lose respect for you.

Your parents will have to set some laws around your household that is very clear to your brothers and sisters and to you.as well. You are not expected to be the one who lays down these laws, as it is not your jurisdiction, as you are an equal . Your parents are the higher authority in your house.

Dont ask them to do anything, only time will make them grow out of it, if they are deliberately annoying and you threaten them with a punishment, then carry it out. i.e dont buy them any christmas presents, or say next time you have treats you wont share them. it worked once when I refused to share my sweets with my little sister.....she got in a right grump but she remembered it!

you could try communicating with them to see why they are acting out there's always a reason a kid does something weather good or bad tell them its disrespectful and you do to much for them to act like that bond with them

For blatant disobedience, lying, stealing, cheating or gross disrespect, they get spanked. For other issues, they get grounded, time-out or they lose privileges.
