Your dog seriously needs to see a vet. Seriously! The staff at the vet's office should be edcuated in handling aggressive animals so that isn't a good reason not to take him. Call ahead to let them know his condition and the fact that he can be aggressive so they will know what they are getting into. They might even have a muzzle you can use on him for the time being.

I'm not a vet but it sounds like your dog might've had a stroke from the symptoms you described. He really needs medical attention that can't be provided by surfing the web.

It sounds like you really are worried about him and that you do love him, otherwise you wouldn't be seeking help here. If that's true...please take him to a vet immediately. He deserves the chance to at least be checked out and given the medical attention he needs.

Take him to a vet asap! Vet's are trained to handle dogs that can get aggressive since many get aggressive when they are injured. Your dog may have gotten into a poison like Anti-Freeze or have some other very serious problem.

It could be a variety of issues - if he is older it could be arthritis or could be something as serious as a stroke.
He needs to be evaluated in person by a professional. I worked in a vet hospital for years and dealt with very aggressive animals on a daily basis. Most vets have muzzles, etc and are trained to deal with aggressive animals.

i understand about he agressiveness because my dog is the same way. But you really need to take him to the vet. When you get there ask to buy/borrow a muzzle that will fit on your dogs nose. you only have to use it when the vet is looking at the dog not when you are by yourself in the room with the dog.

There is no choice. You have to bring the dog into the vet. There are MANY different things that can cause thoes symptoms and a lot of them can be life threatening. If you want your dog to recover, you definately have to bring him into the vet.

You have no choice. Your going to have to take him to the vet. You don't say how old he is, but my parent's dog was up in age and he was doing this and he had arthritis.
