Guess work usually is 50% accurate. It is best to get it X Ray and see the true results.

Probably could be. I tore my rotator cuff when I fell on my shoulder. It felt fine at first, just alittle sore. The next day I couldnt lift my arm up. It was quite painfull. I had to have surgery on it to repair it. Still a little sore after 5 weeks, but better than before.

X-rays can rule out or confirm torn rotator cuffs. However, the best thing you can do is to "kill 2 birds with one stone" by going and getting your x-rays done at the chiropractor's office the same day that he/she examines you. They will test your strength and range of motion in both arms (for comparision). Sometimes an injury to one area of the body (i.e. your shoulder) can affect other nearby areas (i.e. your back, your neck, your side). When I strained my back a month ago, it caused both my shoulders and both my wrists to pop. Strain in my upper back caused my lower back to hurt as well. So, it is important that when you go to the chiropractor, you explain how you injured yourself. (How did you injure yourself anyway?)
hope you feel better soon. ^_^

Could be signs of bursitis setting in. A simple shot in the joint of steroids will take care of it. It's an inflammation in the joint. Please at least read this website page and check into it if these are your symptoms. http://orthopedics.about.com/cs/sportsmedicine/a/blbursitis.htm
