my husband also has an oily scalp. he likes to use head and shoulders. aveda rosemary mint also is good, but you may not get alot of suds. i definitely would recommend a salon shampoo. the ingredients are not watered down and always shampoo twice. do not use conditioner, just a spray on detangeler and keep your fingers out of you hair through out the day.

i do alot of mechanical work and my hair gets really greasy and oily, from the trucks.and every thing else, this works for me , try using sunlite dish soap, and then your normal shampoo, sunlite breaks down the oil and grease, and the shampoo does the rest ,

I use any shampoo and then rinse it with a large glass of warm water with 2-3 tablespoons of apple cider (Heinz) vinegar in it, it does not leave an odor and you can rinse after using it too but it sure helps and is reasonable!

1.scrub shampoo deep down into roots
2.if this dosnt work buy some apple vinigar and dilude it with some water and put in your hair.
3.if still dirty when dry apply sentented bayby powder to hair and brush in with sift bristled brush...the bayby powder will absorb oil and sent will cover up the sench of oily hair. good luck!!:)

I tried Avalon Organics (lemon). It has shea butter so i was thinking that would make it even greasier but it didnt. Except that it didnt smell as good as any ordinary shampoo.

My boyfriend has that problem, he uses Aveda Rosemary mint and Shampure. The rosemary mint clarifies when its really bad and the Shampure balances and is good for everday use.
