can you tell me whats wrong with it please

Sounds like the thermostat has tripped because it's overheated. Normally there is a red button somewhere on the back of the dryer to reset it - just turn off the power and press it in. However, this should not normally cut-out as long as the fluff filters are kept clean - you should clean the filters after every drying cycle.

If that's not the problem it could be the heater has failed, you probably need to get a service engineer out to look at it.
